Hazard description
On certain motorcycles, the recall repairs completed by a BMW Motorrad dealer during recall 71 02 24RC (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-185) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required. This recall is for certain motorcycles equipped with a BMW Motorrad accessory side case. The latch for the side case lid may not be properly secured, even if it looks like it is. As a result, the lid could open and detach from the motorcycle while riding.
