2008 Pierce Velocity Recall

Certain fire trucks fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 206 - Door Locks and Door Retention Components. The cab door latches may "pop" open, without warning, to the secondary catch. In the vent of a vehicle crash, the door would not have primary closing security. This could increase the risk of personal injury or death to a vehicle occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace door latches.
