2017–2021 Altec At Series Recall

Issue: Over time, the 12-V power wire for the boom stow sensor on certain aerial devices could be damaged by contact with a sharp edge. If this happens, the wire could short circuit and blow the fuse for the ignition circuit. This can cause the engine to shut off suddenly while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact Altec Service to add a relay that is fused separately from the ignition circuit.
